In response to the need for quality education in the area of Valenzuela City, the Children Of Mary Immaculate College, a private-owned, non-sectarian institution, strategically located at 22 Maysan Road, Malinta, Valenzuela City, was organized and founded by Mrs. Eleanor de Leon-Llenado. As a family corporation, the primary goal of this institution is to enable the students attain a high level of academic excellence and develop their character and personality in an enriched educational environment.

CMIC is fully recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and by the Commission on higher Education (CHED). It offers a full program for Pre-School through College. Likewise, CMIC was officially granted the authority to accept foreign students by the Bureau of Immigration Deportation under Memorandum Order AFS No. Aff-04-075 dated July 7, 2004.

The school applied the individual mode of instruction with the overriding objective of providing quality teaching-learning processes inside and outside the classroom.

The Grade School department started operation with only 29 pupils. With the gradual increase in its population, a school building was erected and better facilities were provided.

In 1985, the High s\School department opened to 15 students. One year later the high school building and a gymnasium were erected. Four years later, it graduated the pioneering 19 students at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima with Dr.Pilar Pascual, the energetic and competent NCR Director as the Guest of Honor.
